Installing Word on two computers

If Word/Office 2000 is a retail version, the license permits you to install
it on one desktop and one laptop, provided they are never used
simultaneously. If it is an OEM version (came installed on the computer),
it's licensed only for that system (can't be transferred to another even if
you uninstall it on the original machine).

I have the disks. My kids computer did not come with word and since I am
thinking of getting Office Xp can I uninstall mine and put it on theirs?

As explained, that depends on whether the disks are for an OEM or a retail
version.
