Installing Word97 on XPHome

I run Word97 on my XPpro. I installed it back when I didn't have SP1
or SP2. Recently I tried to help my friend install Word97 on his
XPhome with SP2, over the phone. It errored with some message that
something 'could not be registered'. I have not had a chance to visit
him personnally since, and try the installation myself. Has anyone
else has any trouble installing Word97 on WindowsXP?
