Installing WSS Out of Sequence

I know that Microsoft recommends installing the WSS component FIRST when
installing the Project Server environment. However, is there any way to
successfully install the WSS component AFTER the other components???

We recently experienced an error in the WSS component where it lost the
Project Workspace template and I ended up un-installing the component after
numerous attempts to fix. Now, I assume that because I'm trying to install
WSS out of order, I am having trouble re-installing it successfully. Do I
have to un-install everything and start over with the install process IN
ORDER???

Any feedback would be appreciated... THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Brandon:

You can uninstall WSS and Reinstall connecting to the existing databases.
There are notes in the Project Server Installation Guide on steps to take
when installing WSS after Project Server which include setting the
connection information in Project Server Administration and configuring
managed path exclusions, if necessary, in WSS admin.

Yep... I've performed those steps before and have not had any success
(yet)... I will try it again just in case I've missed something along the
way...
