Installing XP SP 3 from disk

Max

I have the SP3 disk and several questions:
1) Is it enought to install SP3 or do I need to install SP1 and SP2?
2) I have my original Office disks. When I insert the SP3 disk, I have an
option to select fullfile and standard. Which should I select?
3) It seems like I remember in the past having been asked to assign a
program location. If I need to choose location, what is the appropriate
location to use? (C:programfiles\Microsoft Office? C:\program Files? Some
otherchoice?

Hey Max,

Answers for your questions:

1. According to
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...FD-6F69-4289-8BD1-EB966BCDFB5E&displaylang=en ,
that SP3 of Office XP includes SP1 and SP2. So you do not need to install
SP1 and SP2 in order to install SP3.

2. If you do not have access to your installation source (your original
Office CD), please select Fullfile. Otherwise, select Standard (in your
case, you can just select Standard)

3. For the Program Locations, you can just leave it to the default location
at C:\program files\Microsoft Office (but if you changed the location last
time when you install Microsoft Office, please do a search for the Microsoft
Office folder and use that path to install the SP3 update.

Hope this clears things up for you. :)
