Installng fonts

B

Bowler

Hi,
I thought it was enough to copy a TTF into the C:\windows\fonts map, and
after a restart the font should apear in Word, ready to use.
Not so.
This friend has about 133 fonts installed, but only 25 or so are usable in
his version of Word.

What need to be done to use more fonts?

I don't know what version of windows you have, but when I want to add a
font, I open Control Panel, then click on font.

Once that opens, I select File/Install New Font

That opens a dialog box which allows me to install the font(s)

I open Control Panel | Fonts then drag whatever fonts I want to install
straight into that Window.
