When installing the MS Office 2007 beta on a Windows operating system that
never had any previous versions of MS Office installed then the instant
search feature on Outlook 2007 beta works. When I installed it onto a
Windows system that already had Office XP installed, I get a message as soon
as I open up my Outlook 2007 beta saying that "To enable the Instant Search
feature in Outlook 12, you must download an update to Windows Desktop
Search." When I click on "download" to take me to the appropriate website, I
never get taken to what is intended and instead I get an error message in the
website telling me if this keeps on happening go to "search all downloads"
and type in what I am searching for.
Ofcourse I have uninstalled Outlook XP prior to installing Office 2007 beta.
Can anybody offer any suggestions?
Thank you
Bob
