institute filters for office updates

Office update keeps suggesting I install the French update. When installed
it mistakes Hawaiian words for French and keeps making meaningless
suggestions. I'd like to prevent those, the French language updates, from
being suggested. Much as how you can filter Windows update.

Hi Chuck,

If you use Microsoft Update (consolidated Windows and Office
updates) through http://update.microsoft.com you can choose
to 'hide' various updates, but if a later update requires the
prior update to be in place ahead of time you'd then have to
download it.

If you have examples of the French update misbehaving with
'Hawaiian' wording you may want to drop by the Word
Spelling & Grammar newsgroup (link below). The folks from
MS who manage the proofing tools drop by from time to time
and would likely be interested in seeing some examples.
