insufficient memory or disk space

WE occasionally get the following message while usingword
as the editor for outlook 2002.
"There is insufficient memory or diskspace. Word cannot
display the requested font."

Does anyone have an idea as to what may be causing this
error?
The desktop has 512MB ram and over 20GB of free disk
space.

I found an article that describes the same problem with Word 97 and Outlook 97. I know the versions are different, but it may
