"Insufficient memory " to print

I have inserted 2 jpg into a blank word doc (Word 97) so
that i could print 2 pictures (they are the same picture)
at a time & waste less photo paper. I have no captions,
just these 2 pictures. When i choose print, I receive 2
pop-up messages: (1) There is insufficient memory or disk
space. Word cannot display the requested font; and (2)
Printers Folder: There was an error writing to DOT4_001
for the printer: There was a problem printing to teh the
printer due to an unknown system error. Restart Windows
and then try printing again.

I have restarted numerous times, searched Help
extensively, and still no clue. Can anyone offer any help?

The printer is an HP psc 2110 all-in-one, recently
installed. (Did we perhaps not get all connections fully
installed...?)
