insufficient memory

I've purchased a new HP printer. It works fine in all apps except when
printing from Word 6. I receive the error
"There is insufficient memory. close extra windows and save you work."
There's over 76gigs of free space on the hard drive, so what is the
problem????

Thanks in advance

The OS is Windows XP professional. By the way where does word print the info
to disk before it sends it to the print driver? Is there a limit on how much
can be stored in a folder? I'm wandering if a folder could be full or is
that even possible?

I've tried reinstalling word and the print driver, no luck.

If you are using File, Print, then Word doesn't write it to disk: it is
created in RAM and sent immediately to the printer. If the spool is too big
for your RAM, it will be written to the user's Temp folder until spooling to
the printer has finished.
