Insufficient Security Privilege

C

Chris Z.

Good Morning:

I'm trying to assist some end users in accessing an InfoPath form, but they
are receiving an error message that reads the following:

"Insufficient Security Privilege. This form cannot be opened because it
requests domain security level and is only allowed restricted security level.
Based on the information in the form, the file should be located at file
:///C:\Documents%20and%20Settings\Username\Desktop\Cust%20Cover%20Sheet.xsn
in order to open with the correct security level."

I am not well versed in InfoPath, so this is the first time that I'm seeing
an error message like this. Can you please provide some assistance?

Thanks!

Chris Z.

Looks like the file was saved to your desktop when it was published,
and then moved somewhere else manually.

Publish it to a sharepoint library or to a network share. Then have
them open it from that area rather than directly from whereever you
moved it too.

At least I think that should work.

Hi Chris,

You can change the security level by goint to the Tools Menu.. Security Tab
and selecting the Domain option for the trust level.

Also it looks like you did not publish the form correctly. You may have
simply developed the form on one machine and then moved it to another. You
must use the Publish feature in the File menu.

hope this helps,

thanks,

I am having the same security issue, I am new to infoPath, and need to create
several forms and then have them approved prior to publishing them, I can
create a new form, save it to my desktop, but only I can open it; I see no
security tab under the tools menu, I go to tools. options, and there is no
security tab. I can open my templates and modify and save again but only I
can open them everyone else gets this message:
"Insufficient Security Privilege. This form cannot be opened because it
requests domain security level and is only allowed restricted security level.
Based on the information in the form, the file should be located at file
:///C:\Documents%20and%20Settings\Username\Desktop\Cust%20Cover%20Sheet.xsn
in order to open with the correct security level."
Any help would be greatly appreicated.
