Int. Explorer no longer automoatically places "http://" - HELP!

For some reason, probably in some way connected to the
worn which I just got off my computer. Internet Explorer
no longer automatically puts the "http://" before a web
address. If I type 'www.yahoo.com' - it sends me to a
page that asks, 'did you mean, www.yahoo.com' and if I
click on it, it sends me to Yahoo. But, for some reason,
when I type a web address into the address bar, it
doesn't recognize the address unless I MANUALLY
type "http://" how can I fix this?

Thanks!
