INTALL UPDATES to an administrative installation of office 2003

I try to install sp1 to an administrative installation of office 2003 but get
a meesage that sad error 2203 internerror has come up seekpath
e:\program\office2003sv\pro11.msi -2147287035

the command I to at the server is msiexec /a
E:\Program\Office2003sve\pro11.msi /p
E:\Program\Office2003sve\FILES\Patches\MAINSP1FF.msp SHORTFILENAMES=1

does sombody no what is wrong
help

Probably ,the problem was caused due to an uninstall of Veritas BakupExec
and a following
reboot. (setup.exe /UNINSTALL).After the reboot, every msi package fails
with the
above error
change the (de)install order of veritas backup exec
