Integrated Master Schedule - External Links

We use External links in our Integrated Master Schedule. We build external
links from the Integrated Master Schedule to the sub-plans. The external
links in our Integrated Master Schedule are supposed to carry over all of the
values from the sub-plans. For some reason, the Baseline Start and Baseline
Finish do not carry over to the Integrated Master Schedule (external gray
links) all of the time. Instead of the Baseline Start and Baseline Finish
values carrying over into the Integrated Master Schedule, 'N/A' appears. Any
thoughts of why this is happening?

Thanks!

This is by design. Not all data is linked form the extrnal task because you
may not want external data from other projects to be reflected in your
schedule. For example you would not want external cost form one schedule
insert into your schedule, this might cause doubling of cost.

So only plan dates are transfered as extrnal task.

Hope this helps

However, sometimes the baseline start and baseline finish external links
carry over from the sub-schedules to the Integrated Master Schedule and vice
versa. A lot of times they do not. Can you think of a reason why this is
happening?

Do you have a list of the columns or expected data an external link should
carry over from the sub-schedules to the Integrated Master Schedule?

Thanks!
Chris
