integrating a project plan which has been created locally

a member of the project management team has created a project plan and I want
to load this into project server. Thing is, the resources are already
assigned outwith MS Project Server - do I have to remove the resources and
reapply once the project has been uploaded?

Hey Jacobite,

If I'm not mistaken when you upload your users if they have the same name as
your enterprise resource, you can map them. An error will appear as you're
publishing where you can correct it and point it to the right enterprise
resource.

If that does not work, I guess you can do a replace using the Build Team
from Enterprise function in the Tools menu.

You should import the project using Tools - Enterprise Options - Import
Project to Enterprise. On the page that deals with resources, map each
local resource in the project with an enterprise resource in the Enterprise
Resource Pool. Hope this helps.
