Integrating Office 2000 and Works 7

If I create a mail merge document and an excel spreadsheet as the data
source, is it possible for these to be used with Works 7?

I have a friend who has asked if I will set something up for him to use on
his PC, but I have Office 2000 and he has works 7. Will it be possible to
set this up on my PC or will I need to do it on his PC?

Few users of Office ever muck around with Works. You might have better luck
getting an answer from the Works gurus, who reside here:
