Okay MVPs -- would someone please tell me why Office 2000 will not
integrate with Bookshelf '96-97. KB Article # 177407 clearly says this
SHOULD work. To quote:
"...Because Word 2000, Word 97 for Windows, ... you can only integrate
these programs with the following 32-bit versions of Bookshelf for Windows:
....
Bookshelf 1996-97 for Windows ..."
When Bookshelf is installed, Word 2000 clearly recognizes that it is
present -- it adds a "Define" option to the right-click menu for a
selected word. However, when this is chosen, it displays a "Word cannot
find or run the application" error message.
If the integration won't work, it would be nice to get rid of the
"Define" option in Word - but the preferable alternative would be to get
this working
System Details: Win2K, SP4, Office 2000 w/SP1a & SP3, and all Windows
Update and Office Update patches applied.
Any suggestions??
