intel, OSX 10.5.4, Endnote X1, Word 2004, NOT WORKING

hihi,

I just installed an Endnote X1 licensed to my Univ to my new macbook running OSX 10.5.4 and Word 2004. and every time i try to input a reference to my word doc, it just says there is a Microsoft visual basic error "run-time 5"-invalid procedure call and argument.

can anyone help me with that? i really need to that working on my thesis.

There is something wrong with your EndNote install.
Locate the Word startup folder (typically /Applications/Microsoft Offcie
2008/Office/Startup/Word) and remove the EndNote related files from
there.

Then go to the EndNote website and download the *new* EndNote add-on for
Office 2008.
The installer should place a copy of the new module right in that same
location, allowing a proper integration of EndNote in Word.

BTW, you don;t even need the add-on to input references in your text.
Simply copy them in EndNote and paste them in Word.
The add-on is only useful if you use the CiteAsYouWrite option, and to
format/unformat manuscripts.
