Intelligent tags in XP

Dave Neve

Hi

Although I've activated all my intelligent tags, they aren't so intelligent
as I had hoped.

Names of people are recognised but the date isn't, even when inserted by
Windows.

Place names don't activate eg. Mancherster and addresses neither.

What is wrong?

Thanks in advance

What is wrong is that smart tags don't work very well and for that read very
poorly if you live outside the USA.
Most users turn them off.

Thanks Graham.

Can't see them working very well in The States either as New York fairs no
better than Manchester.

However, I have solved the date problem to an extent.

Some dates inserted by Word in English are recognised but I haven't found a
single inserted date in French that is recognized by the system.

Regards
