I work for a company that is heavily into hydraulics. I have a few
questions regarding the fluid power shapes (hydraulic schematic
diagram symbols and etc.) that are part of Visio:

(1) How difficult is it to create custom shapes with interactive
behavior? For example, if I right-click on a fluid power shape
supplied by Visio, the resulting menu provides me with selections to
toggle the shape between 'hydraulic' and 'pneumatic'. Is it easy to
mimic this behavior on a custom shape.
(2) Are there courses available, either online or on-site, that teach
how to create custom Visio shapes with interactive behavior? Any
recommendations?
(3) Are there businesses that specialize in creating custom Visio
shapes for customers? Any recommendations?

This behaviour is controlled from the Action section of a shape, in
that particular shape the action just controls the fill colour of the
shape (it's a grouped shape as well, just to make things a bit more
complicated). have a look at a slightly simpler shape, open the
flowchart shapes stencil and look at the shape called "Flowchart
shapes". This shape contains 4 geometry sections, the action menu
allows selection of which geometry section is visible.
