Interactive buttons in an include page

I have a strange problem that I do not understand. I have a site that uses
include pages for the navigation which is using interactive buttons. The
problem is that when I preview the site the buttons will work fine, that is
they will change colors when the mouseover is done and even appear fine when
I do the f12. The poblem is that when I publish the site the interactive
buttons will blank out when I do a mouseover and even if I open the site
directly on the remote server the preview looks good but when I do the f12
from there, the buttons do not work.

I am not sure this makes any sense but I cannot find out what is causing this.

You should avoid using Interactive Buttons in an include file, unless
the include is in the same folder as the pages it is included in.
This is because FrontPage will not manage links to buttons (or any
other file) where the link is embedded in JavaScript, as when using an
Interactive Button the links to the swap-images is in the (JavaScript)
onmouse* events.

Thanks - Not sure I understand everything being talked about in your link but
I did understand enough to make it work now. It looks like I need to start
using the DWT for these type of things going forward.
