Hello. Does anyone know whether Word can set "interbook" cross references
(i.e., refer to a heading/section in a DIFFERENT file)? Word can set cross
references within a file, but I'm not sure if Word can set references to a
different file.
There is something of a workaround--you can insert sections from different
file as a link (if you've bookmarked them), but then those inserts do not
convert to HTML links when the file is converted to HTML by Quadralay
WebWorks Publisher. If we could find a way to either: 1. Get Word to be able
to set a cross reference to a section in a different document OR 2. Get
Quadralay to convert an insertion from a different file as an HTML link, then
Word would trump FrameMaker in every single respect. (FrameMaker's only
advantage at this stage is being able to set cross references to different
files).
Any advice? Please advise and thanx!
