Here's the setup...
Client - Outlook 2003 latest SP and patches, setup with corporate POP/SMTP
(set as default) and personal POP/SMTP through ISP.
Server - Exchange 2000 latest SP and patches
Scenario- User receives an immeadiate bounceback when forwarding a forwarded
email (503 Valid RCPT TO <recipient> must precede DATA). I looked online and
found that it may be a problem with SMTP authentication, however it is turned
on in users Outlook, I tried changing it to force it to connect to POP first
but to no avail. When I turned on logging I found that Outlook never even
attempted to send the email through the default STMP server (corporate) The
only entries in log file for SMTP are to the ISP. This only occurs when user
tries to forward a previously forwarded email. Forwarding an original email
works fine. Any help would be much appreciated!
