Interface between Outlook and Outlook Express

When I respond to a newsgroup message with a reply in Outlook express,
the message gets sent by Outlook on an account which is not setup on
Outlook Express. Is there some setting which will stop this and send the
reply using outlook express and not outlook.

Outlook Express is both an e-mail and NNTP (network news transfer
protocol) client. Outlook doesn't do NNTP. If you reply to the group,
OE must be used. If you reply to the poster via e-mail, the default
e-mail client gets used. If you configure Outlook to be your default
e-mail client then that is the one that gets used to send e-mail.
Doesn't matter if you have e-mail accounts defined in OE or none because
you have designated Outlook to do your e-mail functions. If you want
e-mails to get sent using OE, you will have to configure OE to be your
default e-mail program, but then OE will become the default e-mail
program for all your e-mails whether you are using OE or not, like when
clicking on a mailto:// link.
