Interface to other programs

I am using WORD 2007 with WINDOWS XP Professional to draft technical
publications. When I attempted to INSERT an OBJECT from AUTOCAD LT 2007,
which I have installed and activated, I am advised by WORD that AUTOCAD LT
must be installed before I can edit that type of file. I have checked for and
downloaded all MS updates and finished running diagnostics to no avail. I
also repaired the AUTOCAD files.
