Interlinking Custom Outline codes using formula

Hi,

I've got some enterprise project text fields defined for my timesheet
project in PWA (i.e: Client Name, Project Name, Project Code). What i'm
trying to do is that when an employee selects the Project Name, it
automatically fills the Project clode field in PWA using formula. eg: when
project A selected, the following field for input of project code picks up
1001 which is the project code for Project A.
I'm new to usage of formulas and don't know the syntax etc. If someone could
guide me, I'd appreciate.
