intermittent font problem with Excel X and OS 10.2.8 on a G5

Randomly upon launching a file all fonts are changed and made larger,
not fitting cells. In the past restarting solved the issue, but not this
time. I've run Jaguar Cache cleaner, repaired permissions, rerun the
latest Office X 10.1.5 update, to no avail. On an apple forum I have
seen a post referring to a similar problem with word and excel but no
cues were given. Is this a known probllem? thx

Follow up: it appears that the Abadi MT Condensed and AGaramond

fonts I was using have disappeared from all fonts folders except from
the OS ) System fonts folder. I purchased Suitcase and mede those
fonts active and relaunched Excel and Voilà all was fine. Still don't
understand why the problem occurred. Non fonts appeared to be
corrupted but just missing.
