Intermittent Print Problem

Using Windows XP SP2 and Office Word 2003 SP1, after performaing a merge the
resulting document seems fine. When I print, all formatting is lost, each
line is only one charachter wide, but is all charaters from that line all
piled on top of each other. This happens on the display and the printed
page. A restart (or two) will correct the problem. I can go weeks before I
see it again.

Any comment or suggestions greatly appreciated.
