I see that there are many threads discussing workarounds to Publisher's
inability to create anchors within a webpage so that a person can navigate
within a page.
I am comfortable creating html fragments: however, if the only way to
accomplish this is by creating individual html fragments, then (1) these
won't change color or text style when I change color or text style for the
rest of the document, and (2) their placement on the page is independent of
the rest of the text: I have to manually(!) put them where I want them, and
if I add or remove text, I have to go in and re-place them by hand. This
seems horribly clunky! The point of using a front end like Publisher is
supposed to be that it's EASIER to build a site. Now I'm going to have to go
in and edit the html by hand, anyway.
I would suggest that Publisher should be given the ability to create
bookmarks (anchors) internal to a webpage.
