When starting Word 2000 running on Windows 98, I get this
error message: "Internal error 2343: please contact
product support for assistance". It started a few months
ago after running fine for several years.
Finding "product support" for a recent error on an old
machine seems near impossible, so I'm trying here...
After clicking OK on this first error message, a second
error message comes up under the heading "Microsoft Word
9.0": "An error occurred and this feature is no longer
functioning properly. Please run Setup and
select "Repair" to restore this application". When I
click OK to this message, Word comes up and seems to be
functioning fine. I have no idea which feature is no
longer working, although I use word as a pretty basic
wordprocessor and don't get into the more esoteric stuff.
I have tried the "Repair" route, but get the same message
("Internal error 2343") during that process.
Any good ideas? Leave it alone? It's just a minor
annoyance at this time...
Grateful for assistance!
