Internal error 2349

They say this error occure when installing Office 2000
disk 2 using a DVD or CD-RW. These are just the kinds of
opticals I have. Is there any other known way to get
around this error besides going out and purchasing a
straight CD-ROM? DVD: Sony; CD-RW: HP

Can you copy the CD to your hard drive and run the installation from there?
