There is a MSDN article that explains how to create user defined sets of
characters that can be selected in the international character toolbar (ICT)
(Office 2003 add-in).
This works great. However, is it possible to use it with private use area
characters? I designed some custom symbols and I am looking for a way to
input them into a text document. When I try to use the ICT, my symbols are
displayed using a wrong font (of course, because I don't know how - if it is
possible anywise - to specify my own font for the toolbar). If I click the
button, nothing is inserted into the document although the font selected in
Word is the one used to display my custom symbols.
If it is not possible to use the ICT for it, can you direct me to
documentation that explains how I can implement my own version of ICT? The
development language doesn't matter.
Thanks,
Tom.
