Internationalization of Tooltips in InfoPath 2007

Hi :

I read the article on how to perform internationalization of InfoPath forms
using a datasource, however the author mentioned that tooltips are
complicated to internationalize, I was wondering if anybody already did it
and how to do it?

InfoPath 2007, sadly, does not support dynamic tooltips. It is unfortunate,
but that's the case. You would need to use a Preserve Code Block in order to
accomplish this, but then you couldn't edit your view in the designer any
more. Thus it's complicated.

Localization is also problematic for the insert/delete widgets in repeating
sections and tables. These strings are stored in the view.xsl and in the
manifest.xsf -- neither of which you can modify at runtime.

Attachment controls also cannot be localized easily.

There's still a lot of work for Microsoft to do to make localization an
easier process in InfoPath.

Hi:

If I change the XSL view without adding the xd:preserve (Preserve Code
Block), I know that I won't be able to open it in the designer, however will
I be able to publish it in a sharepoint forms services?

There is a validation process before publishing the template as a content
type. Will a custom XSL without the Preserve Code Block pass the validaton ?

Thanks,
