Is there a way to prevent Office XP from being able to
access the internet through the Help function without
removing the DNS settings on the computer itself?

I have been trying to do it through my networks Group
Policies but nothing seems to stop that.

Open Word {or other application} and select Options from the Tools Menu.
Select the General tab and click on Service Options and then select Online
Content. Try clearing the check box.
