Internet connection disconnection ....

Hi,

I'm using Outlook 2003. When I launch outlook and dial my internet
connection (I have it set to send/receive on startup) as soon as mail is
delivered, I am then disconnected from the internet.

Is there a way to make sure that I am not disconnected after checking?
