Internet connectivity error in word

Martian

I have been having an issue with the translator in word. Whenever I attempt to translate text, the box gives me the same error message, "Office cannot connect to the internet, make sure that your computer is connected to the internet and..."

I get this message even as I type this message while online..

I'm studying spanish right now and this would be an excellent resource for me (if I can get it to actually work).

Any suggestions?

Check your firewall: It sounds as though the firewall (maybe in your
router) is blocking Word's ability to open an internet connection.

Turn the firewall off altogether and see if it comes right...

Same problem here.
I can access any web services with word and entourage (dictionary, web
search, ecc.) but the translation service: it tells me that I am not
connected to the Internet. Strange.

Yep, there is a bug open on that one.

Currently, you require a proxy enabled for the translation service website
domain name.

Stay tuned: the Developers are looking for a better work-around. I hope to
have more information in a day or so.
