Hi:
1. I uninstalled Office and Outlook 2007.
2. I Reinstalled Office and Outlook 2002.
3. I am using IE 6.0 (don't like 7.0 and the ribbons).
4. When I try to use a Mailto: shortcut (from my desktop) I get the
following error message:
Cannot perform this operation because the default mail client is not
properly installed.
5. When I click OK to the above error, 51 (yes, fifty one) IE web pages
open, all getting the page won't open error.
6. I checked IE tools options and Outlook is selected for Email, Newsgroups,
Carendar, and Contact list.
7. Got any suggestions on how to fix this? I like using mailto: shortcuts to
open emails that I use often and don't want to lose this capability.
8. This problem never happened until I installed and uninstalled that
HORRIBLE Office 2007. I sure hope that I'm not gonna have to reformat my hard
drive and re-install all my software. We are talking about a two day process
(tweaking included).
Hope someone can help. Thanks!
