Internet Explorer keeps trying to install

Every time I open IE 6, it launches the Office 2000
installer and tries to install some component. If I put in
the Office 2K CD, it tells me that this is not a valid
install package. Anyone know what's up with this?

I am seeing something simular...see post titled
"Publisher re-installs when invoking Help menus"
When using any of the MS Apps, Word, Excel, etc. and
I try to use the help menus/functions...the installer
tries to re-install MS publisher...Sorry I don't have an
answer to your q...but maybe we have ID'd a nasty pattern.
