Internet Explorer will not launch Office Documents

Hello,

I have a situation where IE is not able to find the file being opened when
clicking on a link to a Word or Office document within Internet Explorer. It
says that the file cannot be found. However, if the user launches the
application prior to clicking on the link, the document opens fine. She
indicates that this happens with other applications attempting to launch from
an IE link as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Have already tried
a new user profile and moving the temporary internet files folder.

This is not a Office issue. You might want to repost this to the IE newsgroup. You probably have a horked install of IE
