Internet Explorer

When I am using internet explorer, I am unable to connect to any internet
site by typing the address in the address tool bar. The only way I can
connect any internet site is by going to google.com, searching for the site,
and then I am able to connect to the internet site. How can I fix this?
Is it something in my settings?

Not an Office issue - suggest you repost to a group for your version of IE.
