Hi,
When I try to publish to, or open, an existing web site I get this error
message --> An Internet Services for Windows (wininet) error occurred.
The PC details are:
Windows 2000 Pro with all updates
FrontPage 2003 with all updates installed (SP2+)
I was previously able to publish/open the web site from this computer; in
fact I developed the site with this gear and software several months ago.
About two months ago it quit working with the error sited above.
I have tried the following:
1.) Had FP extensions re-installed at the host. Tried this twice. No help.
2.) Un-installed and re-installed FrontPage. No help.
3.) Experimented with disabling Share Point Services in FP. This seemed to
help but it quit working again the next day.
My host's tech reports he can publish OK with FP 2002.
I can publish OK from another computer running Windows XP, not recently
updated, and FP 2003 not recently updated.
It may be that the problem is either with WIndows 2000 or with the recent
updates?
Does anybody have any ideas how to get this working again?
Thanks,
Tim
