Intranet using AD authentication problem

Our developers have set up our company's intranet site to use active
directory authentication to access web pages instead of assigning rights
directly to each page. They did this to avoid having to assign user rights to
each page. The problem that we have is that whenever a user is added to a
group that has rights to a certain web page, we have to log the user in to
the web server itself before their token is updated with these new rights.

Is there a way to force token updates so we don't have to login a user to
the webserver each time they are given new rights to pages?
