'Invalid argument'

I am using Access 2002 SP3 and I have a large table with
2.6 million records and some other tables totaling approx
125,000 records. On the large table, it was imported as a
text file and now if I try to change the length of a text
field or an index it will not perform the change and gives
error 'Invalid argument'. I installed SP3 according to a
KB article but still getting same problem. Anyone else
encounter this and get around it? I already compacted and
repaired which didn't help. Any ideas ?

The only thing I've ever seen about that suggests that it may be related to
the size of your file. You can read something on it here:

What is the size of your .mdb file? You may need to split the database to
see if that helps.

Thanks Lynn, I'll look at that one and see if it helps.
However, I suspect you are correct in that the db is just
too big. Thanks again!
