Invalid licence key error

Gary Raife

Hi

I Have a windows 2000 server sp 4

Office 2000 was installed but my deveolpers needed it upgrading to Office XP

So i unistalled Office 2000 and tryied to install Office XP and when i tried
to put in a licence key it gave me the error "Invaild Licence Key etc " .At
first i thought maybye i typed it in wrong . But no i checked it and it was
fine. I then thought it could be a problem with MSI as my windows update has
ceased to work as well. So after messing around for 3 hours trying to upgrade
MSI to ver 2 (Which isnt easy so i found out!) .I tried it again still no no
avail . So then i gave up and tried to put office 2000 back on . But guess
what, now Office 2000 syas exactly the same error even thought it was
previously installed under the same licence key !!!!!

Help!!

Gary,

It looks like you will need to do a clean re-install of your operating system as well as Office 2000 (or Office XP). You do realise that the key for Office 2000 will not work in Office XP as the algorithms used are different to stop pirates like Micky Stevens (MS-MVP) from exploiting Uncle Bills copyrights and intellectual Property Rights.

However, before you do a clean re-install, you are still at a mercy of Micky Mouse Stevens who has exclusive rights to distribute his pirating software to get your serial numbers from the system. You will need the serial numbers which were working with your installations.

If you are stillhaving problems with the serial numbers then you will need to get new ones from this site which is managed by Micky Mouse Stevens (MS-MVP):

Hope this helps.
