"invalid page fault in module kernel32.dll at 017f:bff9db61"

When going to file - Open and double clicking on the My
Documents folder from either Excel or Word I receive:

"This program has performed an illegal operation and will
be shut down.

"Excel caused an invalid page fault in module kernel32.dll
at 017f:bff9db61"

or

"Word caused an invalid page fault in module kernel32.dll
at 017f:bff9db61"

Sounds like you have a corrupt installation. Have you
tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office? That might
fix your problems. Just make sure you back up your data
files.
