Invalid Page Fault MS09.dll

WHen I try to open Excel 2000 I immediately recieve an Illegal
operation..with the message of invalid page fault in module MS09.dll at
167:...... I tried running a repair and a reinstall...I cant find anything
in Technet or on the internet...any help would be appreciated

Nothing in the newsgroups other than users with same error...no solutions..

I went to http://groups.google.com
and searched for mso9.dll inside the *excel* newsgroups.

You may want to try searching there, too.

One suggestion that appeared in a couple of posts is to use
Start|Settings|Control Panel|Add remove programs|MS Office (whatever it's called
for 2k).

Then click the Repair option.


(Others suggested that you remove them (might be multiple copies. Use
windows|Find to search), delete them (might be prudent to back them up to
somewhere safe (although if it's broken now, ....)), then run the repair option
from Add/Remove programs.)
