invalid page fault

All of a sudden Word no longer works. I get the below message when I try
to run the program. I removed the program and reloaded, but that did not
help. I using W98.
Where to look for the problem?

WINWORD caused an invalid page fault in
module WINWORD.EXE at 0197:30062618.

I tried those that I could, but nothing fixed. I will run when I type in
winword.exe/ a

If it works properly when you start it with the /a switch, then the problem
is in Normal.dot, the Registry, or an add-in. You must follow the steps in
the article to eliminate these in turn.
