I recently upgraded to the new Office 2008 for Mac and started working on my powerpoint... when everything is done, the slide will not start... and it said invalid pixel format.....I use my PC and test out the powerpoint.. it worked......

I can work on the presentation but cannot present it.... what's wrong?

Same problem. Also using Mac OSX 10.5 and Office 2008. I opened
the .ppt file in Powerpoint 2004 for Mac and it works fine.

I think I found out the problem. I recently updated Perian on my Mac.
Because Powerpoint was open, it was using the old version of Perian
which was removed in the update process. Quiting and restarting
Powerpoint solved the problem and I am now able to edit and present.

I am using Mac OS 10.5.6. I used the "Remove Office" install and then
rebooted. Same problem still exists. I tried installing Perian plus
their new update and I get the same error every time. "Invalid Pixel
Format".

You're *replying* to a thread that started months ago, has been hijacked
several times, & has been inactive for more than 30 days. Nobody has any
idea what your situation actually is, so it's unlikely you'll get any help.

Post a NEW message stating all particulars about your circumstances
including exact version of Office & all details about what it is that you're
attempting to do, what you expect, what's happening instead, file formats
involved, etc. I'm sure someone will be more than happy to offer suggestions
but we need to have a clean slate focused on the details of your problem.
