Invalid procedure call message when opening report

I am trying to open a report in my Access 2000 db that we've used for 7 yrs.
No changes were made to any report or the switchboard recently, but all of a
sudden we cannot open a certain report (from either the db window or the
switchboard). Other reports open just fine. The message says "Invalid
procedure call" and I can only click ok. I've run detect & repair, compact &
repair, I've copied this report from a backup I had, and none of these have
worked. I have no knowledge of vba so hopefully that's not the problem. Can
someone help me see what I'm missing? Thank you!

Did you check your references?

Open any module in Design view (or click Ctrl + G).
On the Tools menu, click References.
Click to clear the check box for the type library or object library
marked as "Missing:."

An alternative to removing the reference is to restore the referenced
file to the path specified in the References dialog box. If the
referenced file is in a new location, clear the "Missing:" reference
and create a new reference to the file in its new folder.

See Microsoft KnowledgeBase articles:
283115 'ACC2002: References That You Must Set When You Work with
Microsoft Access'
Or for Access 97:
175484 'References to Set When Working With Microsoft Access' for
the correct ones needed,
and
160870 'VBA Functions Break in Database with Missing References' for
how to reset a missing one.

Do you mean is the report referring to the right tables/queries? Yes, they
are correct. Also, I haven't made any changes to this report in at least 9
months, if not a year.

No. That is not what I mean.
Re-read my reply. It has nothing to do with that report, per se.
Open any code window (doesn't have to be that report's), or the debug
window.
Click on Tools + References. Follow my previous instructions.

I looked at the references, and there are none that start with "Missing:" Is
there anything else I can try? I recreated the report from scratch and that
didn't work either. Thank you for your time and help so far.

I also went and unchecked as many references as I could and then went back in
VBA and re-checked them. That didn't fix the problem. As I went through the
rest of your Access Reference Problem article, I got a little lost. We are a
small company who doesn't have an available Access expert, so I am trying to
work through this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
