invalid product key error message

I purchased onenote home and student edition and attempted to install but get
an invalid product key error message. I have office 2003 and outlook 2007
installed on the same machine. Any suggestions for activation on onenote
would be appreciated.

There isn't a OneNote Home and Student Edition - do you mean Office Home and
Student Edition? Are you looking at the product key on the CD case or ?

that you're using? Was it e-mailed to you? Mailed to you? On a CD case?
